Tuesday, September 9, the History department will co-sponsor a special screening of Tula, the Revolt, a 2013 film about the leader of the 1795 slave uprising on the island of Curacao. The screening is presented by the United Nations Remembrance Programme of he Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade, and will be followed by a discussion with one of the film’s stars, Danny Glover.
